(…) The Belgian company Mossoux-Bonté has created with three women and two men a grotesque wax museum that is ironic, surealist and fantasmagoric and will stay in our memory for a long time.

Ute Schaltz-Laurenze, Taz Bremen / March 2002

Inspired by the tableaux of Lucas Cranach the elder, Nicole Mossoux and Patrick Bonté bring to life the artist’s models, imagining their life before and after the moments frozen in his paintings. A fascinating mix of eerieness, poetic humour, violence and eroticism from a performance that hasn’t aged a bit.
