The result of a collaboration between the London-based photographer and filmmaker Susu Laroche and Nicole Mossoux and Patrick Bonté, Histoire is a wild dive into a world in which one’s points of references are constantly destabilized and skewed.

Five characters originating from some ancient epoch are captured in the magnifying glass of a camera that examines their postures, their role-playing and the trompe l’oeil of their appearance.  Everything transpires under false flags, as Kafka put it, and they are the first to testify to this…

The film was shot in November 2013, a few weeks before the premiere of Histoire de l'imposture, and is based on situations and gestural material from the performance.  Thomas Turine composed a soundtrack inspired by the musical universe of the performance.
